Mary Anne Handiboe Powers

 

Mary Anne Handiboe Powers passed away on June 7, 2016. She was proceeded in death by her parents Aloysius James Handiboe, Gertrude Cecelia Farrell Handiboe, her stepmother Marguerite, her brothers John G. Handiboe, Aloysius James Handiboe, Jr.  Her husband William Joseph Powers, Jr., Her son's William J. Powers, III, Michael G. Powers, John A. Powers, and her Granddaughter Margaret Clancy Powers.

She was a graduate of Sacred Heart School and St. Vincent’s Academy.

She leaves behind, her children Aloysius Powers, Daniel Powers, Vincent Powers, Brian Powers, and Anne Marie Powers Watts.  Grandchildren Catherine Blake Stephens, Thomas Powers, Joseph Powers, Elizabeth Nichols, Leslie Bowman, Catherine Smith.  Mary Watts, and Catherine Powers, and also several great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Fox and Weeks Hodgson Chapel.  Wednesday June 8th from 5:30 - 7:30 with the Rosary at 7:30. There will be a Funeral Mass Thursday June 9th at 10:00 am at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

In Lieu of flowers, Remembrances can be made to Saint Vincent's Academy, 207 E. Liberty Street, Savannah, GA 31401.
